Overview:

This course is designed for professionals and researchers who want to develop basic skills in the dynamic modeling approach and STELLA Systems Thinking software. It offers a lively, engaging mix of interactive presentations with hands-on exercises to introduce the dynamic modeling language and the STELLA toolset. You'll build your skills as you work on a small project of your own choosing with coaching provided by highly-skilled faculty. Participants will build skills to integrate dynamic modeling into the classroom. Faculty will use a variety of applications from the natural sciences, social sciences and humanities to help promote curriculum development and creation of teaching tools using STELLA software.

* Dynamic Modeling Language: Stocks, Flows, Feedback Loops
* STELLA Toolset: Basic operations and advanced features
* The Modeling Process
* STELLA in the Classroom: Why and How
* Applications in natural sciences, social sciences and humanities
* Interface creation tools
* Storytelling with STELLA
* Hands-on exercises and individual curriculum design
