Field Studies in Conservation Biology

Session I

Educators and community conservationists will integrate ecological field studies and an introduction to Geographic Information Systems (ArcMap 9x) for conservation planning. Participants will use natural resource data including the state Wildlife Action Plan, conduct field-based ecological studies, and incorporate the information into a draft natural resource inventory and conservation plan for a protected site.
